15750971 - & Household Manager Needed for Active Minneapolis Family

Location: Minneapolis

Children: 2 children ages 11 years and 15 years old

Schedule: Part-time, Monday through Friday, 3:30 PM – 7:30 PM (with some schedule flexibility)

Salary: $26 – $30 per hour, depending on experience

As a busy single parent managing a bustling household, I am seeking a proactive, grounded, and organized Nanny/Household Manager to join our pet-free home and help us tame the afternoon and evening chaos. We are looking for the right person to help maintain our home and the children; someone who truly lives by the motto: "see a need, fill a need." Our family loves nature, hiking, paddle trips, and learning new things, and we need someone who can step in as a reliable partner to keep our household running smoothly.

The primary focus of this position is split between targeted care and coaching for our 11-year-old daughter and reliable transportation for our 15-year-old.

Childcare & Youth Support: 
Meet our 11-year-old daughter at the bus or school, provide transportation to therapy visits and activities, and help her navigate strong ADHD features with executive function, self-regulation, and compassionate boundary setting. She is verbal and independent in daily living activities, but thrives with strong, consistent guidance.

(Note: Special needs experience is a wonderful bonus, but a calm demeanor, strong boundaries, and problem-solving skills are far more important).

Teen Transportation: 
Transport our 15-year-old non-binary youth to their sporting practices. 

Household Management & Meal Prep: 
Execute family meal preparation (I supply the recipes and meal plans; you handle the grocery shopping, chopping, and cooking).

Home Upkeep:
 Handle family laundry, light housekeeping, errands, and overall home organization.

Flexibility: 
Occasional overnights (about 2 per month) and later evenings (until roughly 9:00 PM, no more than once per week) to accommodate work travel schedules.

What We Are Looking For

Experience & Skills: 
Proven background in childcare, nannying, or household management. Exceptional boundary-setting abilities, reliability, and the knack for anticipating needs and taking initiative.

Requirements: 
Must have your own reliable vehicle and a clean driving record. Preference for candidates who are up-to-date on COVID and flu vaccinations.
